Godrej Consoveyo has been awarded an automated warehousing project by a leading textile group in North India. The scope of work includes design, supply, installation & commissioning of Automated Storage & Retrieval System (AS/RS) for storage, movement & handling of finished fabric rolls.
Currently, the customer has 2 factories which are 2kms apart from each other and the inventory is stored temporarily in the factory itself. There is no dedicated warehouse facility.
This new Greenfield facility with 5000+ storage locations will serve as a consolidated warehouse for both the factories. The palletized load from the factory will be stored in a 23m tall Automated Storage & Retrieval System (AS/RS) by a loop of conveyors, shuttle cars & two fully automated SRM’s (Storage & Retrieval Machines). Dispatches will happen automatically through the Warehouse Management Software (WMS) integrated with client ERP and inventory will be updated accordingly.
The integrated AS/RS by Godrej Consoveyo will enhance storage, throughput & tracking efficiency, for 53,000+ fabric rolls comprising of 4000+ SKU’s and thereby result in optimization of human resource.
